OVERVIEW

The Law Office of ANTHONY J. GARAFOLA is a solo general civil law practice committed to providing the highest quality of legal services to individuals, families, small businesses.  Although small, my firm provides services that are on par with those of much larger multi-department law firms, and it does so at a much lower cost. Further, what my practice lacks in size, I make up for by giving each client my undivided attention from the first time we meet to the completion of his or her matter. My clients can rest assured that I will not be delegating their case to a junior associate or legal assistant whom they have never met.

Approximately 80% of my work is transactional and 20% is litigation related. I am licensed to practice in all California State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the best way to solve a problem is to avoid it in the first place. Accordingly, I stress problem prevention by counseling clients about the obligations and risks inherent in their undertakings before they commit to them. If I am included at the onset of those undertakings, I can take the appropriate steps to help minimize those risks or avoid them altogether. However, if a problem should arise, or if a problem already exists (which is often the case) I approach its resolution pragmatically, taking into account each client's tolerance for conflict, their need for resolution and the overall economics of their situation.

Every case and client is unique, and I treat them that way.

AVAILABILITY

Although I prefer to meet clients in my office during normal business hours, I realize that this poses a problem for some individuals with daytime obligations. Accordingly, I will gladly make myself available to meet clients during evenings and on weekends.

EMERGENCIES

In the event of an emergency, I will travel to your location for consultation and execution of documents.
